It's Not The Heat

It was the humidity that had us turning on the air conditioner this weekend. Last night, a front shifted cool, dry air our way and the windows were open wide. Nothing like birdsong and a deer "snort" at the crack of dawn.

Turn In and Tune Out

We were so tired from a late Friday night gathering and an early morning out on the boat that it was lights out early last night. Now, I just wished our rest could be pain free for Glenn and hot flash free for me!

Last Minute

At 5:30 last night, we got a call from a member of our wine group, looking for a ride. Having never received an e-mail or call that we were meeting, it caught me off guard. Glenn was out in the boat, fishing, while I was curled up in a chair reading. Half an hour latter, we were showered and on the road to a beer tasting that lasted long into the night. Spontaneous summer gathering.

Feel That?

For the first time in forever, last night, Glenn shaved his face down to the bare skin. This may not seem like a big deal, but with all his skin issues, he normally just "trims" his face. It felt smooth as a baby's bottom and he looks so young. When asked why he decided to "get naked", he said it was because he loved me.
