Pioneer Spirit

How did frontier women do it? Brave the unknown to settle in primitive settlements. Raise crops, livestock and chickens to maturity. Suffer loneliness, sickness and birthing with little comfort.

I was beat after canning tomatoes yesterday in a modern kitchen and I had help. Yikes!

Growing up, I read lots of pioneer books and felt that I had once lived in that era. Clearly, that was a fantasy.
